José E. Rodríguez is the Manager of the New New Yorkers Program. When nobody is looking, he poses as an artist. His artwork is sculptural in nature but it utilizes a wide range of media to investigate Hindu-Buddhist philosophy and its place in contemporary life.
José has an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in NY, and a BFA from The Ohio State University. His past lives include being a Librarian for the East Asian Department of the OSU Library, a Research Specialist at Photonica, an Art and Religion Fellow with the Asian Cultural Council—an affiliate of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund—and a technology consultant for Lehmann Maupin galleries in Chelsea. He dabbles in Object Oriented Programming, physical computing, Spanish, Korean and Sinhalese.
