版畫是一項歷史悠久卻又與我們日常生活密切相關的藝術形式，透過製版與印刷的過程，不僅能呈現出作者的創作思維，更能透過版畫的複數特性，將藝術做廣泛的傳播。本課程將從介紹版畫的發展簡史，帶您一窺千變萬化的版畫世界，並教導學員製作凸版及孔版兩種版畫。在凸版的課程中，我們將帶您以輕鬆易刻的橡膠版製作個人專屬的明信片，讓您的親朋好友也能分享創作的喜悅；在孔版的課程中，我們將帶您了解孔版畫的原理及在生活上的應用，並學習如何將您自己設計圖案印製在衣服上。

楊翔任，台灣彰化縣人，台灣師範大學美術系畢業，自大學時期開始研究版畫創作。2010年於紐約普瑞特藝術學院取得藝術碩士學位，主修版畫。畢業後於紐約地區從事藝術創作及教學，作品曾入選中華民國國際版畫素描雙年展，台中市大墩美展，美國Masur美術館年度展，Great Lake素描雙年展及各聯展。2011年舉辦《如我所見》個人創作展。2012年於紐約布魯克林成立藝想美術教室，現為負責人及教師。

Printmaking is an ancient art form, but still tightly bound to our daily lives. This course will start with a brief history of printmaking, followed by its parctical application in relief and silkscreen. You will print postcards from linoleum plates, create silkscreen prints., and learn how to print your own designs onto clothes and fabric.

Siang-Jen Yang is a Taiwanese artist with a BFA degree from the National Taiwan Normal University and an MFA degree from Pratt Institute, NY. He works as an art educator and artist in New York City. His work has been featured in selected shows like the International Print & Drawing Biannual Exhibition in Taiwan, Da-Dun Fine Art Exhibition in Taichung City, the Masur Museum of Art Competition, and other group shows. Siang-Jen Yang is also the director and instructor of the Thinking Art Studio.
