Last Saturday, December 5 class was held at the Queens Museum where students got to see the work of Zhang Hongtu for the first time.  We went through the exhibit and viewed the work from different time periods of Zhang Hongtu’s life.  We reviewed a list of art vocabulary and applied these words to the work we looked at.  The most important word on the list is subjective.  Each student had a specific reaction to the work and they articulated those reasons.  Lists of adjectives and verbs were given to broaden vocabulary.
