Visita al Coronado Print Studio Domingo 4 de Diciembre
Pepe nos ofreció una visita guiada sobre los trabajos producidos durante este año en su estudio, impresos en serigrafía entre otras técnicas.
También nos dio un tour por los diferentes departamentos del taller, desde el área donde se producen las transparencias hasta el área de impresión y recuperación de las mallas.
Durante la visita también mostramos algunos de los portafolios publicados por el colectivo de artista dominicanos “Dominicanyork Proyecto GRAFICA” además de otros portafolios.
Los estudiantes mostraron particular interés sobre esta forma de colaboración entre artistas y no perdieron tiempo en sugerir que tomáramos esta parte en cuenta para un próximo taller de serigrafía más avanzada donde pudiéramos tener como meta la publicación de un portafolio, esto en colaboración entre he New Newyorkers/Queens Museum y Coronado Print Studio.
Néstor Orellana nos dio una grata sorpresa cuando nos mostró una gráfica que realizó completamente solo en su casa, es alentador ver la aplicación de lo aprendido y el nivel de curiosidad por la experimentación.
En sentido general este taller ha tenido un alto nivel de entusiasmo y la visita al Coronado Print Studio ha sido muy inspiradora.

Pepe offered us a guided tour of the works produced during this year in his studio, printed in silkscreen among other techniques.
He also gave us a tour of the different departments of the workshop, from the area where the transparencies are produced to the area of printing and retrieval of the meshes.
During the visit, we also showcase some of the portfolios published by the collective Dominican artist “Dominicanyork Project GRAFICA” in addition to other portfolios.
The students showed particular interest in this form of collaboration between artists and did not waste time in suggesting that we take this part into account for an upcoming workshop of more advanced serigraphy where we could have as goal the publication of a portfolio, this in collaboration between the New Newyorkers / Queens Museum and Coronado Print Studio.
Néstor Orellana gave us a pleasant surprise when he showed us a graph that he did completely alone at home, it is encouraging to see the application of what has been learned and the level of curiosity for experimentation.
In a general sense, this workshop has had a high level of enthusiasm and the visit to Coronado Print Studio has been very inspiring.
