Taller de Fotografía en Español Poemas de Luz – week 8

Queridos New NewYorkers:

Dear New New Yorkers:

Today was the closing and celebration of our course “Poems of Light”.

We celebrate the end of each course with positivism and joy as it is the beginning of a new stage, in which we’ll apply the new knowledge that we have learned.

In this session we visited the Queens Museum (QMA), then we watched a slideshow with each student’s photos and finally shared snacks together.

Visiting the QMA was very interesting because the teacher Sol gave us a tour of the exhibitions that are temporarily displayed on the 1st floor.

Then we went to the theater of the QMA, to see the slideshow and we watched with pleasure the progress of each student in the final presentation.

Congratulations on taking the time to attend each session and dedicate yourself to developing your weekly assignments.

We have seen week after week our knowledge of photography were enriched, as well as the creative contribution of each of you to make the compositions of his photographs that were part of his tasks.

Congratulations also to the people who were always punctual and who had a 100% attendance.

We have finished a course of the many that will come in which you will always be welcome. We will keep you informed of upcoming workshops and activities to be developed during the year.

Congratulations again to each and every student. Many thanks to the teacher Sol Aramendi who is an excellent artist and great educator.

Finally a special thanks to the QMA, represented by Mr. Guido Garaycochea: manager of the New NewYorkers program, for making these free art workshops available to the Hispanic immigrant community.

Then dear New NewYorkers: this is not goodbye, but a see you soon!.
