Week 4: Create My Own Visual Journal 3: Plum Drawing

Reference of Plum
-The plum represents winter, symbol of hope and endurance. It is the first to bloom in the frost of late winter.
The twisted and gnarled tree trunk seems harsh and old, yet it reveals its beauty hidden by renewing fresh branches with buds and blossoms.
Introduction of Plum Blossom Painting
-Students will learn how to draw Plum Blossom in traditional manner. Using these
vocabularies they will create their own abstract painting
-Students will be allowed to use color for the expression of flower. This often brings different kind of vitality to
both a painting and a classroom.
Goal of the day:
-One basic Plum Blossom following the traditional manner
-One abstract painting using vocabularies in Plum Blossom Painting.
