Come and learn about mobile technology!
The Queens Museum needs an app and we want YOU to design it! In this workshop you will learn about interaction, how to plan and create interactive projects, prototypes and other themes for those who are interested in technology. Starting from a general perspective the students will design the future mobile app for the Queens Museum, by doing this they will develop the skills and tools necessary to develop their own projects and ideas. The class will end with a presentation of the proposals developed.
Marco Castro is an interactive artist that adapts, transforms and repurposes the stuff of daily life to reach new forms of expression. He uses design as a pedagogical and political tool to call attention to the problems that affect our society. His art operates out of experience and objectivity but always alludes to the surreal in our lives. Mr. Castro was born in Mexico and is a graduate of NYU’s Interactive Technology Program.

¡El Queens Museum necesita un app y queremos que TÚ lo diseñes! Por medio de este taller discutiremos la interacción, como diseñar proyectos interactivos, prototipos y otros temas para aquellos que se interesan por la tecnología. Partiendo de una idea general, los alumnos diseñarán la futura aplicación móvil del Queens Museum, desarrollando así los métodos y herramientas necesarias para desarrollar sus propios proyectos e ideas. La clase culminará con una presentación de las propuestas desarrolladas.
Marco Castro es un artista interactivo que adapta, transforma y reconfigura el diario vivir para llegar así a nuevas formas de expresión, utilizando el diseño como herramienta pedagógica y política para llamar la atención a problemas que afectan a la sociedad. Su arte usa como medio una variedad de experiencias y plataformas de naturaleza objetiva, pero siempre aludiendo a lo surreal en nuestras vidas. El Sr. Castro es oriundo de México y egresado del prestigiosos Programa de Tecnología Interactiva de New York University.

皇后美術館需要一個新的手機程式而我們就要 你 來參與設計。此課程除了帶你認識互動科技外, 還可學習如何規劃與創造互動計畫與模型。從基礎出發, 學生得以設計未來適用於皇后美術館的手機程式, 進而獲得開發自己計劃及實現創意所需的科技技能。課程的最後每一位同學皆有機會發表自己於課程中發展的企劃提案。
馬可·卡卓是以日常生活為靈感, 發展出創新表現手法的互動科技藝術家。以設計做為宣導及政治工具提醒大家對嚴肅社會問題的關注。他的藝術作品雖建立於客觀生活經驗卻往往影射生活之超現實面。卡卓生於墨西哥, 畢業於紐約大學的互動科技系所。
