This week, the students and museum members were invited by Molmol Kuo to a field trip at her studio – YesYesNo, with guest speakers  Rosalie Yu(Taiwan), and Billy Dang (US), who introduced their work on 3D scanning sculptures, 3D printing, and wearable technology.

After their talk, Rosalie Yu led a demo session on using a combination of softwares including opensource softwares such Meshlab, and a Kinect to do a half body 3D scanning. The students  got to experience first-hand what  DIY 3D scanning looks like and how it’s made.
