En esta segunda sesión,  desmoldamos las piezas que vaciamos la primera clase.

Usamos las manos para hacerlo, ya que la arcilla oleosa que usamos para hacer los moldes es muy flexible y al ser base de aceite impide que el yeso se pegue a ella, desmoldando con mucha facilidad.

Realizamos además nuevas piezas, empleando la misma técnica de hacer moldes con arcilla oleosa. Para ello, luego de desmoldar nuestras primeras piezas, pudimos volver a usar la misma arcilla. Debemos tener mucho cuidado de limpiar la arcilla de cualquier residuo de yeso que hubiera podido quedar en ella.

Luego de ver como quedaron los primeros trabajos de yeso, fue más fácil entender cómo hacer los moldes en arcilla para lograr los resultados deseados.

En esta sesión hicimos un segundo molde en arcilla, pero ahora con la experiencia previa e innovando en los diseños.

Finalmente hicimos el vaceado del yeso líquido en nuestros moldes. Veremos los resultados en la siguiente sesión.

In this second session, we unmold the pieces that we made in the first class.

We use our hands to do it since the oily clay we use to make the molds is very flexible and as it is an oil base, it prevents the plaster from sticking to it.

We also make new pieces, using the same technique of making molds with oily clay.

For this session, after unmolding our first pieces, we were able to use the same clay again. For that purpose, we must be very careful to clean the clay of any residue of plaster that could have been in it.

After seeing how the first works of plaster were, it was easier for us to understand how to make the molds in clay to achieve the desired results.

In this second session we made a second mold in clay, but now with the previous experience and creating new designs.

Finally, we did the casting of the liquid plaster in our molds. We’ll see the results in the next session.
