En esta sesión 5 de nuestro curso de ESOL, comnzamos con el juego ”tirar la pelota”, para responder preguntas que la maestra nos hacía. Debemos de estar pendientes de que verbo se usa para formular la pregunta; porque será el mismo que usaremos al momento de decir nuestra respuesta usando una oración completa.
Luego hicimos ejercicios de pronunciación usando palabras donde la H es silenciosa: ejemplos hour , honest , y exhibition. Además usamos palabras donde la B es silenciosa: ejemplos climb, subtle, y doubt.
Como trabajo final para la exposición del 16 de Setiembre en el Museo de Arte de Queens, deberemos hacer un poema final, usando los Lenguajes figurativos.
Finalmente decoramos con acuarelas el marco de papel con el cual enmarcaremos nuestro poema final para la exposición. Felicitaciones a todos los alumnos por su trabajo constante en cada clase.
Recuerden además que la próxima y ultima sesión será: el Sábado 21 de Julio ; por ese motivo, será un día de celebración y compartir entre todos nosotros.Este día de celebración y clausura del curso de ESOL: será en el Museo de Arte de Queens.

El día sábado 21 de Julio; destinaremos los primeros 20 minutos para terminar los trabajos pendientes, luego procederemos con la entrega de diplomas y fotografías. Finalmente celebraremos el fin del curso de ESOL con un compartir de comida, bocaditos y bebidas.

In this session 5 of our ESOL course, we started with the “throw the ball” game, to answer questions that the teacher asked us. We must be aware of the verb used to formulate the question; because it will be the same one that we will use when we say our answer using a complete sentence.
Then we did pronunciation exercises using words where the H is silent: hour, honest, and exhibition examples. We also use words where the B is silent: examples climb, subtle, and doubt.
As final work for the September 16th exhibition at the Queens Museum of Art, we will have to write a final poem, using the figurative languages.
Finally we decorate with watercolors the paper frame with which we will frame our final poem for the exhibition.

Remember also that our next and last session will be: on Saturday, July 21; for that reason, it will be a day of celebration and sharing among all of us. This day of celebration and closing of the ESOL course will be at the Queens Museum of Art.

In the last class on Saturday, July 21, we will use the first 20 minutes to finish the pending work, then proceed with the delivery of diplomas and photographs. Finally we will celebrate the end of the ESOL course with a sharing of food, snacks and drinks.
