Al acercarnos al final de la clase, los y las participantes están trabajando en sus portafolios finales, revisando los ejercicios y proyectos de semanas anteriores, fijándose en cómo sus diseños fueron creados y probando nuevas herramientas y materiales.
Antes de completar su patrón final, los y las participantes están probando diferentes versiones de su diseño elegido para explorar aún más cuánto y cómo puede cambiar un patrón con el uso de un tipo particular de línea (gruesa o delgada, recta o curva), cierta combinación de colores o el uso de una textura particular.
Ha sido una gran experiencia ver a muchos de los y las participantes explorar su creatividad y entregarse con dedicación a las actividades de creación artística que fueron, al mismo tiempo, exigentes y accesibles. Algunos exhibieron un gran ojo para generar composiciones mientras que otros tienen un gran sentido para mezclar colores. También hemos sido testigos de cómo han ganado más seguridad para probar nuevas ideas.
(Thursday, December 6th – Make up Class)
As we near the end of the class, participants are working on their final portfolio, reviewing exercises and projects from weeks past, looking at how their designs came together and trying new tools and materials.
Before completing their final pattern, participants are testing and trying a different version of their chosen design to further explore how much a pattern can change by the use of a particular line (thick or thin, straight or curved), certain color combinations and the use of particular textures.
It has been a great experience to see many of the participants explore their creativity and engage in an art-making activity that was both challenging and approachable. Some of them have exhibited a great eye for generating compositions, while others quite the knack for mixing colors. We have also witnessed more confidence in trying new ideas.
