Iniciamos nuestra primera sesión del curso de escultura básica, haciendo unos moldes de arcilla dentro de envases de plástico.

En estos moldes de arcilla los alumnos pudieron dejar huellas de objetos pequeños presionándolos sobre la misma para dejar la impresión del objeto o los objetos en la arcilla.

Los alumnos experimentaron con diferentes tipos de texturas, y diferentes niveles de presión. Incluso hubieron alumnos que incorporaron a sus moldes letras, otros escribieron palabras dentro de sus composiciones.

Colocamos  todos los moldes en una meza para poder compartir las creaciones de cada estudiante y aprender uno del trabajo del compañero.

Luego la maestra Liene Bosque, nos enseno como preparar la mezcla de yeso y agua para poder vaciarlo en los moldes preparados por los estudiantes.

Se procedió luego a hacer el vaciado del yeso liquido sobre los moldes de arcilla.

Finalmente, la maestra nos dijo que para  la próxima clase aprenderemos nuevas técnicas de hacer moldes y además podremos ver como quedaron nuestras piezas en positivo del molde que hemos creado la clase de hoy.

We started our first session of the basic sculpture course, making some clay molds inside plastic containers.

In these clay molds, the students were able to leave traces of small objects pressing them on it to leave the impression of the object or objects in the clay. 

The students experimented with different types of textures, and different levels of pressure. There were even students who incorporated letters into their molds, others wrote words within their compositions.

We place all the molds on a rock to share the creations of each student and learn one of the works of their classmate.

Then our teacher Liene Bosque taught us how to prepare the mixture of plaster and water to be able to empty it in the molds prepared by the students.

The liquid plaster was then emptied on the clay molds.

Finally, the teacher told us that for the next class we will learn new techniques of making molds and we can also see how our pieces were in a positive mold that we have created today’s class.
