Con el cambio de temperatura y el notorio brote de verde y rojo en los alrededores, hemos llegado al final. La última sesión fue una oportunidad para que todos pusieran los últimos toques en su patrón final y organizaran su trabajo en un orden secuencial que hiciera visible el progreso y desarrollo de sus habilidades de diseño.
Fue muy gratificante para todos/as tener el tiempo de mirar su propio trabajo, y el de sus compañeros/as de curso, y reconocer cómo la dedicación y atención a los detalles dieron fruto, patrones llamativos e impresionantes o complejos y sutiles. Algunos temas y técnicas se hicieron aún más evidentes en cada uno de los portafolios de los participantes y muchos quedaron muy sorprendidos por las muchas posibilidades que les ofrecen herramientas y materiales que ya tienen en su hogar.
With the change in temperature and the notorious sprouting of green and red in the surroundings, we have come to a close. The last session was a chance for everyone to put finishing touches to their final pattern and organize their work in a sequential order that made visible the progress and development of their design skills.
It was quite rewarding for everyone to have the time to look at their own work, and that of their course mates, and acknowledge how the dedication and attention to detail had paid off in patterns that were bold and striking or subtle and intricate. Some themes or techniques became even more evident in each of the participants’ portfolios, and many were surprised at the very many possibilities that tools and materials that they already have at home can offer them.
