NNY ESL Book Arts – Week 6

Notas de nuestra última clase!

Our last class notes!

In our last class, we made our last vocabulary book set. These words were all contractions like, I’m = I am, won’t = will not, and couldn’t = could not. These words can be tricky but are much more conversational and are very common in both spoken and written English.

We also wrote and read out loud some of our letters to our pen pals. This project is still in formation, so thank you for your patience while I figure it out.

In the second half of class, we held our final project presentations. We shared our zines with the class, Guido and Gia. I’m so proud of you all and your dedication and progress in learning English. We gave everyone certificates of completion and ate food together.

I wanted to thank you all for this beautiful class. I had so much fun working with you all and helping to develop your ideas. Your projects all turned out amazing, and I can’t wait to share them with the larger Queens Museum community. I hope to see you in our second session, where we can continue working on projects for our communities while learning more about English and art making!

Con mucho amor

Cristina
