Reference of bamboo in Asian culture

-The bamboo represents summer, the symbol of constancy and upright conduct (fidelity). A strong vitality in its straight line reflects masculine compared to feminine orchid. It is green at all season and is beautiful under all conditions. Bamboo has symbolism of strength yet pliable.
Introduction of Bamboo painting
-Students will learn how to draw Bamboo painting in traditional manner and using these vocabularies they will create their own abstract painting
Goal of the day:
-One basic Bamboo Painting following the traditional manner
-One abstract painting using vocabularies in Bamboo painting
